councilmen Blessing, Pozzi, Randall, Schultz , Shaffer, 'Thornton;
iirnates read and approved of the last regular meeting, police
report read and filed;
IIotion passed to install three street lights on Alvord Ave.
between James and Temperance Street.
Letter read from W.J .13elfield offering the city tiP50.00 for
the old boiler out of the City bldg. now occupied by Blue Banner
Foods. , Matter of old boiler placed in hands of Building committee
for investigation.
Motion passed to place the old scrap iron at the dump in the
hands of the Health & Sanitation committee for approval of sale
of same.
Ordinance No. 845, passed the council , amending section 2 of
Ordinance No. 828 relating to L.I .D. 229.
Resolution No. 324 passed the unanimous vote of the council
present , for notice of hearing date on assesment roll for LID
229 sewer.fl.
Motion made for 25 year franchise to the P. S.P.&.L. CO, roll
call- vote taken and lost, Blessing, Randall, Shaffer,Thornton,
voting ye. and Pozzi, Schultz voting ny. Motion passed for a
ten year contract by roll call_ vote , Blessing voting ny, and
Pozzi, ye. Randall Ye. Schultz ye. Shaffer ye. Thornton ye.
Ordinance No. 843 granting franchise for 10 years voted on and
passed the unanimous vote of the council present by roil call vote.
Mr. Ionson of 510 So. Central reguested a sewer at that location
and his request was placed in the hands of the Sanitation, Street ,
committees for investigation with the Engineer.
Mayor requested some action taken, by the council in regard too,
sexy letture on the news stands and in stores in .the city.
Clerk by motion was instructed to call for bids for a new police car
to be openned at the mast regular meeting.
Mayor thanked all department for the splendid work done in the past
year of 1951.
