Regular meeting; of the City Council present Tlayor Mooney,
Councilmen, Adams, Blessing, Pozzi,R.a.ndall, Schultz, Shaffer,
Thornton;
1,Iinutes of the last regular meeting read and approved;
Report of officers read and filed, Police report ;
Ordinance No. 843 read on its first reading, franchise with
P. S.P.&.L .CO. Tiotion passed to instruct the clerk to have notice
published in local paper in regard to the franchise ordinance
being placed on its final reading and up for passage at the
regular meeting; of December 17, 1951.
Motion passed for the council to meet at eight o' clock, and
recess for the Princess T,Ieeting, and reconvine for further
buisness.
Motion passed to instruct the clerk to write a letter to
the Supt.- of Schools in regard to the action of the Council
on his letter requesting; a change of seweg;e connection rates.
The school shall be billed bn a nine month basis, and at the
rate the ordinance sets doom.
T,Iotion passed to the accept the engineers recommendation on
LID 229 Sewers, as completed.
Motion was passed to install overhead li�hts at the railway
crossings where needed, but not to exceed Ta500.00.
Motion passed to purchase boots and rain coats for the 'later
and Street Employees.
Resolution passed by the council urg ing the people of this
community to give assistance to the su fering people of Italy.
Ordinance No. 8Lp4 passed the council. by motion setting office
hours for the City of 1',ent.
Motion passed to purchase siren c',, radio for emergency measures.
T-iotion past to purchase a cash drawer for clerks office, for
amount of 200.00 dollars.
Motion passed to purchase reccorder for police office.
T,Iotion passed to purchase tools .for street dept. up to
amount of '>,40.00.
