Kent Washington September 17, .1951.
Regular meeting of the City Council present , 1-Mayor Mooney,
Councilmen Adams, Blessing, Pozzi, Schultz, Shaffer, Thornton;
Minutes read of the last regular meeting and approved;
Report of officers read and filed, Budget , Treasurers and
Clark' s report ;
Motion passed to give the street committee power to act
on the patching of cracks in the paved streets, and to
secure another estimate.
Letter received from water dist f a7 requesting information
on a hook up with the Kent system for extra water, when need-
ed, T'Iotion passed to place in the hands of the water committee
for investigation, and a report to the district.
i,Iotion passed to instruct the clerk to write a letter to
the State Highway Engineers Dept. in regard to the councils
action on the drain across Smith Street.
Budget for 1952 was read to the council, and motion passed
to have the clerk prepare the budget as read and have notices
published provided by law for a public hearing on said budget
on Monday $' oclock P.I.I. in the council chambers October 1,
1951.and have prepared the budget ordinance and tax levy
ordinance.
