Thornton.
Minutes read and approved of the last regular meeting;
Report of officers read and filed, Police report ;
Architect and attorney from the Safeway Company, was at the
meeting and requested of the Council that they could see their
clay clear to eliminate the sprinkler system from their new
building that was under construction at Smith & North Central
Ave.By motion passed the Council went on record for the install-
ation of a sprinkler system in this building owing to the fact
that it had such a large floor area without fire walls, and they
did not see fit to make any leeway in the building code.
Motion passed to instruct the clerk to write a letter to the
Board of County Commissioners urging them to proceed with the
necessary repair to the raver banks and dykes, that were damaged
during the last flodd.
Motion was passed to instruct the City Attorney to write a let-
ter to the Highway Department in regard to the drain they so wish
to place across the Highway 5-A and drain on our Part: property
and so state that the council is agreable if they have a sound
solution for the protection of the cities property.
Motion was passed to instruct the clerk to call for bids for
the laying of water pipe that we now have on hand and on order,
and to be openned at the first meeting in April.
