Regular meeting of the City Council present , Mayor Mooney
Councilmen Armstrong, Bell, Pozzi, Randall , Seeman, Shaffer,
Thornton;
Minutes of last regular meeting read and approved;
Report of officers read and filed; Clerk' s report Budget,
Treasurers, and police annual report;
Resolution presented to the council from the Civil Service
Commission, setting up a Sergeant for the Police Dept, and
paying him 20.00 more per month than the regular patrolman,
and the patrolman entering the Dept. shall receive $20.00 less'
per month that the patrolman now on the force. Motion passed
to make the resolution a part of the Rules and Regulations of
the Civil Service Commission.
Resolution read and by motion adppted for the transfering of
$1136.95 from the Current expense nund to the B.I.&.R. fund for
the redemption of bonds and interest , to be paid back at such
time as there be sufficient money in the fund.
Tobacco ordinance read and by motion referred to thy: Police-
committee for further study.
Motion passed to instruct the clerk to write a letter to the
County Health Doctor in regard to the advantage of water treatment
to prevent teeth decay.
Motion passed to instruct the finance and health committee to
interview Dr. Hogan our Health Officer in regard to his salary.
Motion passed to have the clerk instruct by letter the P.S.P.&.
Light Co for the installation of two street lights, at North end
of Kirkwood Ave. , and one at James & Woodford Ave.
Motion passed to have the finance committee bring back re-
commendations to the council in regard to who shall partisipate
in the Citie' s insurance buisness.
Motion passed to instruct the building inspector to write letters
to people that have obtained building permits that was for lest
than their estimate, and on completion of their building it was
found that their estimate was- far to' low. , and to have them come
in and adjust same.
Motion passed to have building commitee and Engineer revise
building code, fees, and also the plumbing code.
Motion passed to instruct the Clerk to call for bids for the
removal o� the stage in the large room on the second floor in
the City all, and construct two offices in its place.
Mayotr instructed the chief and members of the fire dept to
conduct ah inspection of all Apartments in the city, 'and motion
passed by council to approve of the Mayors directive.
