Councilmen Armstrong, Bell, Seeman, Thornton; Minutes read and approved of the last regular meeting; Report of Officers read and filed; Clerk' s report , Budget and Treasurers. Mrs Murphey living at . James Street and Kennebeck requested of the council for action on getting the dirt removed from her alley that the contractor on the LID 229 prodject has left, and hole 14 ft. deep with no barracades around same. The engineer was instructed to have the contractor take care of this condition in the mornning. Motion passed to permit the school district connect to the city sewer system, and it was the intention of the council to take over the system of the schools that was on public rightaways and not let anyone connect until they had paid the school on the basis of thiir cost per abutting foot. Motion passed to instruct the clerk to write a letter to Mr. Edmundson in regard to the sewer prodject. Motion for clerk to write a letter to the High-way Dept in ee- gard to the chuck holes in meeker street , that was called to the their attention last summer. Motion passed to install four street lights on Sumitt Ave. and one on So. Central, and motion passed to instruct the clerk to write a letter to the manager in regard to the installation of the required lights. Motion passed to purchase 12" the for Hazel Ave. to replace the old wood pipe drain. Motion was passed to hold the certified check of the Pacific State Pipe Co, until pipe arrived. Motion passed to have the City Attorney write Roberts Co Inc. a letter in regard to the slow procedure on the sewer job. Motion passed to have an adjourned meeting to discuss the power buisness and take action if needed, October,19th. at $' o'clock P.M. Claims presented and allowed as follows; Warrens Office Equip.
