Regular meeting of the City Council present, Mayor Mooney,
Councilmen Armstrong, Bell, Pozzi, Randall Seeman, Shaffer, Thorntm
Minutes read of the last previous meeting and approved;
Report of officers read and filed, Police Report;
Bids were opened and read for the awarding of contracts for
water department su*b�ies as follows;
The low bids were awarded to Pacific State Cast Iron Pipe Co for
pipe and fittings $27,027.20 for pipe, and for fittings 863.74,
and low bid was awaorded to the Pacific Water Works Supply Co for
Hydrants and Valves, Hydrants $$1941.04 and valves $2824.26. Other
bids were as .follows, Rensselaer Valve Co, Hydrants $1969.36,
Valves, 2923.'66.E.N.Hallgren Co, ipe, 27, 568.98, and fittings
$884.36.Hugh G. Purcell Co Pip R7,393.$$,Hydrants, �$ 2,331.92,

\ Councilman Pozzi made a report on his findings with Carey & Assc.
in regard to the contract with Forbes & Brett on the Sewage Tret-
ment plant contract, they have submitted -aproposal doing the
work for 4% or not to exceed $6000.00 to bring the plant to com-
pletion.Motion was passed to accept the proposal and have them draw
a contract as stipulated in the proposal.
Motion was passed that the coup8 $that the construction of
fi
sewers in created LID 229 was for e good of the public health.
Sewage & Finance committee was instructed to work out a feasible
hook up charge and a monthly fee for the school sewer when connect-
ed the the City system.
Water committee was instructed to make a study of the charge for
water connections and report at the next meeting.
Building committee to proceed with their study in regard to a
change in rates for building permits, moving permits.
Motion passed to purchase two tires for the grader.
Motion for engineer to get costs on the renewing of the storm drain
from East Willis to East Titus on the West side of South Central.
Motion passed to have the police committee instruct the Chief
of Police too regulate the parking at the Street Car Cafe.
Council held a general diseussion on the enforcment of laws
pertaining to traffiqri and suggested that the Polfte committee
work out a plan with the Chief of Police.
Motion was passed to have two street lights installed in View
Point Addition.
