Regular meeting of the @ity Council present , Mayor Mooney, Councilmen Armstrong, Morrill, Seeman, Sells, Thornton Worth; Minutes read and approved of the last regular meeting; Report of Officers read and filed, Clerks, Budget , and treasurers.,; Councilman Morrill reported on the conversation with Mr. Jannson in regard to the deposit check on his bid for drill- ing a well that is held by the Clerk, . Motion was passed to instruct the clerk to write Mr. Jannson a letter in regard to having the check retmrned. Communication read from Mr. Ky Fox President of the Washington Outing Parks Assn. requesting of the cities permmission to pplace signs within the City to direct tourists to the various Makes in the vivinity of Kent , Motion passed granting the erection of such signs. Request from Rev. Sharp to have the all day parking discon- tinued in the 300 Block on Second Ave. So. Motion passed to place the sitivation in the hands of the Chief of Police. Letter read from Mr. Walmsly in regard to the paving of a st in his newly created addition to Kent , this was referred to the' Street Committee for settlement. Bids were read for the purchasing. of a police car, by motion was placed in the hands of the police committee for study and, recommendation at the next regular meeting. Mayor recommended to his street and water committees that they should get more action from the both crews, that it seemed that little work was being accomplished. Plating ordinance was discussed at length with the planning Commission, Motion was passed to have an adjourned meating Wed. at $Oclock for further study of the ordinance. Adjourned meeting of the City Council present Mayor Mooney, Councilmen, Armstrong,Edline, Seeman,Sells, Thornton, Worth. After discussion and minor 'changes of plating ordinance , approve& by the planning commission, motion was passed to pass plating ordinance as read by the unanimous vote of the council present.
