I) . - Councilman Armstrong reported on progress was being made in re- gard to sewer districts. Mayor recommended that John Turcott be relieved of the dump position, and Mr. Braunshweig be appointed in his place, by motion and passed by the council the appointment of Mr. E.F. Braunschweig was confirmed. Letter to the Police committee from Mr. Walker the new Merchant Patrol, was read requesting a commission to carry a gun, motion passed granting the request. Mr. Lothe representing Mr. Wamsley, requested of the Council for the maintenance of Woodford Ave . after it had been improved, Motion passed to instruct the engineer to set the grade stakes, and inspection during construction , and final inspection, of the graded street, and upon approval of the City Engineer the council would except same for maintenance and upkeep. Motion was passed for the Clerk to call for bids on a new prowler car. , for the police Dept. Motion was passed to renew drain pipes on Hazel Ave. and parts of James St. , .where needed, this decision being left in the hands of the Street & Drainage committees. Motion was passed to have the Finance committee study sick leave for City employees.
