Kent Washington February 21, 1949.
Regular meeting of the City Council present , Mayor Mooney,
Councilmen Armstrong, Edline, Morrill, Seeman, Sells, Thornton.
Minutes of last previous meeting read and approved;
Report of officers read and filed, Clerk' s report Treasurers ,
Budget ,, and fire Report. ;
Pet&tion received from some 33 people requesting of the
council to, create better drainage in the Original Plat of
Kent , .
Motion passed to have the drainage committee with the Chair-
man of the streets, act on this question of poor drainage, and
report their findings at the next regular meeting. , and for
the steet crew to take care of the existing drain pipe that
Is not working properly.
Bids opened and read for a police car, one bid received
from the Wilson Motor Co of Seattle, Motion made and passed
to reject same.
Bids opened and read for a loader and blade, for to be
attached to our Case Mower, from the Nelson Equipment Co
of Seattle, for the sum of $1283.38 Motion to accept bid
of same.
Motion to pay all calims except Mac Boyker' s for furnance
pump repair, until itemized account is presented.
