Kent Washington November 15,1948.
Regular meeting of the City Council, present Mayor Mooney
Councilmen Armstrong, Seeman, Sells, Thornton, Worth.
Minutes of the last regular meeting read and approved;
Officers report read and filed; Clerk's Treasurers, and Budget;
Councilman Seeman made a motion and passed to purchase a
table and chairs, and refrigerator, for the fire department
kitchen on recommendation of the fire committee.
Councilman Sells reported that the roof of the City "all
would be replaced in the next week if the weather permitted,
and the windows on the out side were being painted.
Letter read from the chamber of Commerce asking to support
the Army Engineers' proposal to build a dam at Green River
Gorge for the purpose of Flood Control. Motion passed to have
the Clerk write a letter to Col. Howard A. Hanson Chairman
to support the proposal of the Army Engineers.
Motion passed for the Mayor and Clerk to sign agreement
with Blue Banner Food Co in regard for them to take care of
the maintenance of the Spur track serving their plant, on
the Milwaukee Track..
Motin passed to instruct the.Clerk to call for bids on
pipe and fittings, for the replacment of certain water mains
In the distributation system, with the aid of the Water Supt.
