Regular meeting of the City Council present Mayor Mooney, Councilmen, Armstrong, Seeman, Sells, Thornton,Worth. Minutes read and approved of the last previous meeting; Report of Officers read and filed, Clerk' s , Budget & Treasurer; Councilman Armstrong reported on the drain ditches in North Park and had a meeting with the Ditch Commissioners, and they agreed to clean the County ditches out up to meet the ditches in the City. Motion was passed to have Rod give an estimate of the cost of cleaning out the ditch in North Park. Request to lay a sewer lateral on the East side of Hazel Ave . beginning at the North End of the Paderson Sewer, and run North about six Hundred ft . to be known as the McAllister sewer, to be paid for by, him, and become the proh-rty of the City, when completed and passed by the City Engineer. Motion passed to grant the request of Dr. McAllister to lay a sewer in the street on North Hazel Avenue. Letter read from the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, and resolution in regard to the flying of the City Flags at half mast the day a veteran is buried in this City.Letter was refferred to the Police Committee. Letter read from Mr. Feroe in regard to the option on his property, if the City is going to drill a well in that loAcation he requests that the City Attorney take some action in the case. Letter'read from the Seattle Chamber of Commerce stating the time and place of a meeting of the Green River Flood Control Dam Project. Letter and resolution read from the Kent Chamber of Commerce going on record as being Opposed to the creating of a PUD in King County. 1 i Resolution read and unanmously passed the Council present in apposition to a PUD in King County, this resolution to be mailed to the Board of County Commissioners. Youth members sat along side the Council and Mayor, and gave an expression on various subjects, which in their thought, should have more attention, such as a recreation center of some sort to give them something to occupy their spare time.
