Regular meeting of the City Council , present Mayor Pro-tem C.B.Sells, councilmen Edline,Morrill, Seeman, Thornton, Worth. Minutes read and approved of the last previous meeting; Officers report rppntt read and filed, police report. Councilman Worth reported on the progress of obtaining the lot requested by the Park Board. Councilman Seeman reported of having a meeting with the Civil Service Commission. Councilman Thornton reported that the James St. Culvert will be started next week. . Councilmen Seeman reported for the Chairman of the Health and Sanitation Committee , on the meeting with the people of North Park in regard of, not constructing the sewer this year, the water table being to high. Also the progress that was being made in the cleanning out the drain ditches, and the contact with the Drainage Ditch Commissioners of the County. Letter received from a Rev.S. C.Knapp of Longview requesting the sale of Bibles and to solicit finds for Mlissionary work. Letter to be turned over to Tir. Baily , Secretary of the Chamber of. Com- merce. Councilman Morrill reported on the bids on the drilling of a well and recommended and made a motion that the N.C.Jannson Co of Seattle be granted the Bid as soon as the option on the Feroe property on East Smith St. be obtained. Motion passed the unanimous vote of the Council present to go ahead with the well prodject. Councilman Edline made a motion to purchase a floor cleaPer and polisher for the cost of around $300.00. Motion passed. Motion was passed to have the finance committee look into the financing .of thu Well and Laying and renewing the water pipes in the system.
