Regular meeting of the City Council present,Mayor Mooney, Councilmen
Armstrong, Edline, Morrill , Seeman, Sells, Thornton, Worth.
Minutes read and approved of the last previous meeting;
Officers report read and filed, Budget and Treasurerts.
Registration committee on the draft will be in the City ttall
beginning August 30th. through Sept. .l$th.
Request from Pozzi Transportation Co , asking permission to
sink a large gasoline tank in the parkin; strip in the ream of
their garage, and to concrete over same , request granted.
Letter read from the Secretary of the Library Board, requesting
of the Council not to allow meeting that cause a large amount of
noise, on the same nights as the Library is open.
Ordinance read on the plating of View Point Add. to lient , Motion
passed to adopt the ordinance.
Ordinance read and passed the unanmous vote of the Council,
amending Section 1 of Ordinances No. 768 annexing certain lands .
Bids were opened and read from two firms regarding the drilling
of a water well in Kent , they by motion passed were placed in the
hands of the water committee for further study.
Motion was made and passed to have some work done on the street
truck, it needing some repair.
Motiom was passed to instruct the clerk to ckll for bids on the
laying of some water pipe, after the water committee drew up the
planns.
Motion was passed to give the police committee , power to act in the
purchase some bedding for the jail.
Motion was passed for the finance committee to investigate some
�ots for the Park board.

Motion was passed to have the Chairman of the Sewage Committee, ca
a meeting with the people of North Park to let them know that it is
next to impossible to construct a sewer for them this year.
Chairman of the Sanitation committee will make a report at the next
regular meeting in regard to the condition on James St. drainage.
