Regular meeting of the City Council present, Mayor Mooney,
Councilmen Edline, Morrill, Seeman, Sells, Thornton, .
Minutes of Jan. 5, read and approved;
Report of officers read and filed, Clerk' s Treasurers,Budget,
and Librarian.
Councilman Thornton reported on the new Wig Wag Signals,the
N.P.R.R.Co,is contemplating on installing in the near future.
Councilman Sells reported on the drainage ditches in North
Park, that they have been taken careof. Also reported on the
progress of the new street light system, that the only item
lacking were the sockets.
Letter tread from the Department of Health requesting a
meeting with the Mayor and the Council, to discuss various
oddinances to help the sanitation situation in regard to Milk,
Meat and resturant inspection.Motion was passed to referr the
letter of the Dept. of Health to the Sanitation committee.
Mation was passed to reject the bid on the police prowler
car, and further action to be taken next meeting.
Councilman Morrill reported to the Council on his findings
in regard of drilling a well 'to increase our water supply, and
introduced Mr. Jannson of a well drilling concern of Seattle,
to inform the Council of the possiblity of getting water, and
the most feasible location.
Motion was passed to have the water committee make a complete
report at the next meeting in regard to the proceedure of a
well.
Motion was passed to instruct the Fire Chief to purchase a
new motor for the Rural truck, and a pumpif needed.
A group of people attended the meeting protesting the large
! number of dogs running at large in the City, and having no
licenses.This matter was placed in the hands of thempolice
- committee for action, and recommendation.
