Regular meeting of the City Council present , Mayor I-looney,
Councilmen, Edline,Morrill, Seeman, Sells, Thornton, Worth.
Minutes read and approved of the regular meeting, Nov. 3rd.
Report of Officers read and filed, Budget , Treasurer, and Clerk' s.
Councilman Sells reported on tie progress c " `! 17 -kiting
contractor, that materials would be soon made available.
Councilman Morrill reported on the progress the water committee
were makiril, on iricreasini, the water supply.
Motion passed to instruct the clerk to write to the Supervisor of
Hydraulics at Olympia, asking for an application for underground
water in this v;ivi.nity.
Councilman Edline reported on the building program, and requested
for the Mayor and Council as a whole to have a special meeting;
to further the building program.
Letter was �read from the Northwest Metal Products Company of
this City, asking cooperation from the Council in regard to
the poorly arranged shipping connections they have with the R.R.
Companies. Motion was passed to refer the letter to the finance
committee for investigation and study.
Motion was passed to have the building committee order planks
and gravel for the spur track at the Blue Banner Foods Co. to
the amount of $ 125.00 .
Councilman Thornton brought up the mater of parking meters,
and it was laid over till after the first of the year.
Clerk by motion passed was instructed to write a letter to the
Bureau of Transportation in regard to the raise in rates between
Seattle , and Sumner on the bus line . , to protest the raise and
the Mayor to appoint a committee to attend the meeting at Auburn. I
Mayor Mooney sugested .to the Council that a letter of appreciation
be written from the clerk, to the Fire Dept , and Mrs. Bridges for
the fine job they did in taking the Census of the City.
Motion was passed to hold a special meeting of the Council to
discuss the building program, next Monday evenning at 6;30 P.M.
November, 24.
