Regular meeting of the City Council present , Mayor Dunbar, Councilmen, Edline , Farman,Morrill , Sells , Shoff, Thompson Worth. Police Report read and filed; Minutes read and approved except, final plans to read final preliminary Plans. Lettet from Mr. Williams on So. Second in regard to a loft. eas easment ,was referred to the Health & Sewage Committee. Letter from the Rainer Foods Inc. in regard to the leasing of the Sate Cannery building was by motion placed on file. Request of Mr. Geo. Feroe to fix the street and bull rail at Smith & Kennebeck was by .motion referred to the Street Committee. Ordinance on the vacation of the alley in Block 7 of Washington Central Improvement Co' s Knob Hill Add. to Kent , passed by the vote of the Council ,except Mr. Worth he remained silent. -SOrdinance No. 780 passed the unanimous vote of the City Council providing for a fund ,and transfering money from the 'Cum. Sewer Fund to City of Kent--iVashington State Development Sewage Treatment Plant Project No. 26-1-219 Fund. Resolution read for the annexation of a portion of property north of the City Limits ,and was referred to the planning commission. z Ordinance read in regard to Land Zoning ,and for a public hearing to be held by the planning Commission by motion carried by the unanimous vote of the Council. Petition read from Gerry Epperson & Leo Armstrong asking the Council to set aside the General Election, and call a new one ,on account of faulty }Election Machines. Petition referred to the Council as awhole and to report of its findings at the next re- gular meeting. Bids were opened and read from two contractors ,on the laying of eater mains in North Park.Bid from the Stateside Construction Co awarded by the unanimous vote of the Council present ,the other bid Of A.Verne of Seattle ,emount of $5935.00 and Stateside $5395.00. Request from Oscar Allender to fill in the ditch on the East side of the Hiway south of Titus St. to improve the Parking con- ditions. Motion was passed to adopt the preliminary plans of the Fire St- ation and remodling the City Hall. Very large congregation of people gathered and had and open discussion on the City Hall plans ,mostly not favoring the action of the Council ,Motion was passed and amended to table it till the next meeting for further study.
