Kent Washington, February 3, 1947.
Regular meeting of the City Council ,present Mayor Dunbar,
Councilmen, Edline , Farman, Sells , Shoff, Thompson, `North.
Minutes of January 20 , and adjourned meeting of Jan.27 read
and approved ;
Report of Officers read and filed ,police report and Library.
Motion was passed for the engineer to set the grade for drain
tile in Borth Park,on second ave. for Mr. A.Sandwick to construct
crossings to his property,and for the City to furnish tile for
same.In which time he is going to build on the lots.
Motion was passed for the clerk to include in the call for bids
3600 ft. of eight inch water pipe ,to replace the line from the
-East Hill reservoir to Smith St. and fittings to complete same.
Motion was passed to for the light committee to have installed
a light at the far end of South Second Ave.
City Attorney read a letter from the Chicago Milwaukee in re-
gards to the signals at the crossing at Nest Meeker Ave. ,stst-
ing that they would improve them as much as possible.
Motion was passed for the Health and Sanitation committee
with Mr. Rod investigate the cause of the water not draining away
from the people' s residence on South R.R.Ave. and South Central.
Motion was passed to purchase four tires for the G.M.C. truck.
�, Motion was passed to make final application to the Washington
State Development Board to have our treatment Plant plans approved
and anticipated to raise money by a general obligation bond issue.
