Regular meeting of the City Council , present Mayor Dunbar, Councilmen, Edline , Farman, Morrill , Sells , Shoff, Thompson, Worth. Minutes of Jan. 8th, read and approved ; Report of Officers read and filed, Budget , Treasurer, and Clerks. Councilman Thompson reported on the prices of a garbage truck,and date of delivery if an when one should be ordered , and the Health committee were requested to interview the garbage collector to see if he wanted to give up his contract. Councilman Shoff reported for the water committee in regard to letting bids for a quanity of pipe for the renewal of old lines ,Motion was passed for the clerk to call for bids for 9700 ft. of six inch ,and 620 feet of 4 inch pipe ,and fittings Resolution No. 277 passed the unanimous vote of theScouncil to transfer from the War Liquor Tax Fund ,to the Cum. Fund , A5,900 .02 making a total in said fund of $10 ,944.80 for matching purposes for the State Developing Board grant for a sewage disposal plant. Resolution presented to the council by the Kent Planning Commission in regards to flood control of the Green River,was by motion unanimously endorsed. Councilman Sells brought to the attention of the council, that there were about $16000.00 dollars in the cumulative Bldg. Fund ,and now would be suitable time to start plans for the addition to the City Hall.Motion was passed to have the building committee go ahead with planns for the additions to the city hall. � Motion was passed for the clerk to call Mr. Costello at Olympia in regards to additional monies set aside for aid to the Cities by the State for improvements such as our sewage disposal plant. .<- Mayor appointed two from the finance committee and two from the Health and Sanitation committee to meet at Olympia in re- gards to• procurring more State Aid money for our sewerage tretment plant. Election officals at- the City primary election shall receive $7.50 per day,and rent of polling places shall be $ 7 .50.
