Regular meeting of the City Council ,present Mayor Dtnbar
Councilmen,Edline ,Sells ,Shoff,Thompson,Worth.
Minutes read and approved of Septeitber 3rd. 1946.
Report of Officers read and filed ,Treasurers ,Budget and Clerk' s.
An offer of $500 .00 was made by Mr. EA.Miller for the old
city street grader,by motion passed the offer was acepted.
Ordinance # 771 was passed by the unanimous vote of the council
present,to accept the plat of S.G.Mickelson's Sunnyside Addn. to
Kent.
Petition was received from property owners on Prospect Street
. requesting the council to give them permission to install a
sewer on the East Side of Prospect Ave . ,and hook in with the
existing lateral on Temperance St.Petition was referred to the
sewage and drainage committee for report at the next meeting.
Chief of Police reported to the council on the matter of the
careless use of bicycles on the streets ,and recommended that a
license be placed on. them,and more restrictions to be placed on
the children and parents to restrict the careless use of them.
The bicycle situation was placed in the hands of the police
committee for action.
Drainage on north Central was referred to the drainage committee
for investigation.

passed to have the clerk place notice in the paper that the
preliminary budget waeat oclok P.M.
