Regular meeting of the City Council, present Mayor Dunbar,
Councilmen, EdlineiFerman,Morrill ,Sells ,Thompson,Morth.
Minutes read and approved of July,lst. 1946 .
Report of Officers read and filed ; Treasurers , Bidget,and Clekks.
Councilman Thompson reported that he had a man to take care of
the dump on Saturdays,at the rate of 05.00 per day,and what junk
he could selvage.Motion was passed to hire Mr. John Turcott to
supervise the dumping of outsiders on Saturdays ,and to receive $5:00
per day.
Councilman Edline reported to the Council that the Attorney had
filed suit for the condemnation of the land for the Sewage Disposal
Plant.
Communications read from the Washington Frosted Foods,and Libby
McNeill & Libbys in regard to the cooperation they shall give to
the Garbage Collector, if and when they have garbage to dispose of.
Letter was read from Mr. Bell in regard to having earthquake
insurance thn the City Buildings ,and the rate ,Motion was passed to
have it investigated by the building committee .
Mr. Turner from east Smith Street living out side the limits of
the City ask for permission to be taken in on a sewer line that
is being contemplated for the residence on east Smith St. Ivlotion
was passed to have the situation investigated by the Health and
Sewage committee to report at the next meeting.
Ordinance read and passed by the unanimous vote of the council
to vacate a certain portion of Pioneer St.idumber 767 .
Motion was passed for I1r. Roy i;iciiugo to start construction of
the lateral sewer between Shinn St. & Meeker.
Chief of Police recommended to the Council that it was tir;e
for the striping of the streets oweing to the nice weather we
have been having , the I�iayor instructed the police committee to
seq. if they could obtain someone to do the work and the cost of

some.
Mr. Rod reported to the Council that we did not have enough pipe
to complete the job in North Park that was being contemplated ,and
cast iron pipe could not be had for six months or better.Ivlotion
was passed for the water committee and h1r . Rod to draw up pipe
specifications for the job in North Fark.
Motion was passed to give the Jr. Chamber of Commerce ,permission
to erect signs at the entrances to the City on various iii-ways ,and
pay for same from their funds.
Mayor appointed the members to the Planning Commission,Dr. Roy
Rugg ,Lloyd Armstrong,Albert Sebastion,E.A.Sipa4merson Thatcher,
Earl Forbes ,and Harold Anderson.
