Regular meeting of the City Council ,present Act.Mayor Sells
Councilmen,Edline ,Farmen,Morrill,Thompson,Worth.
Minutes read and approved of June ,3 ,1946.
Report of Officers read and filed,Police ,Tressurers ,Clerks ,and
Budget .
Couneilman Thompson reported that the sewer District of North
Park,would not be installed on a cash bases , that it seemed to
be the trend for and L.I.D.Theee were three property owners
present that have worked on the cash deal and they informed the
Council that they did not bbleive enough money could be raised
to start the project before the rainey weather set in,and the
people of North Park would like to have 8 sewer system.
Motion was passed for the City Attorney to start progress on
an L.I.D.for the laying of a lateral sewer in North Park.
A very lengthy discussion was held on the subject of garbage ,
and the controll of the Dump.Motion was passed for the City to
construct a gate at the dump,and to hire a man one day per week,
that day named as saturday to supervise the dumping of garbage
of persons outside of the City , the gate being open that day and
closed the other six days of the week.
Motion was passed to instruct the clerk to write a letter to
each of the Food Processing plants ,and inform them of the
cooperation needed in regard to using the collector of garbage
as their means of hauling their refuge to the City Dump.
Motion was passed to have the Clerk release the money that
is in -escrow to the property owners of North Park for the sewer
system.
Engineer Forbes had submitted his estimate on the pt6ce of
pavement contemplated on W.Titus St.Also the grade and estimate
on the McHugo sewer on Washington St .
Motion for the clerk to obtain a franchise from the State to
construct a sewer on the East Side of Washington St. between
Meeker & Shinn St.
Motion passed to adopt Resolution # 271 to proceed with the
vacation of a part of Pioneer St,next to the Railway tracks and
for the clerk to post notices according to law.
Ordinance # 765 passed the unanimous vote of the council present
to mare all miniimum rates for water in the 6ity Limits $1.50 for
\ 1000 cu. ft.
'\ Ordinance 0 766 passed the unanimous vote of the council present
for the condemnation of three acres for the site of a sewage
disposal plant.
Received a petition from seven property owners that live out
side the city limits -adjeson to the North Park add.asking for to
be included in the sewer district ,referred to 'the City Attorney
for legal advise .
