Regular meeting of the City Council present , Mayor Dunbar,
Councilmen Edline ,NTorrill ,Sells ,Shoff,Thompson,,rlorth .
Reading of the minutes of May, 6th. read and approved ;
Reports of officers read and filed ,Treasurers ,Clerks , and budget.
Councilman Edline reported to the council in regard to the pur-
chase of the three acres from Mrs.Crawford ,for the sewage disposal
plant,site ,the committe and the City Attorney met with her lawyer
and he promised that the committee would hear from him in a week
and a half in regard to the transaction on the land.
The water committee recommended to the council that they would
not accept any further applications for extension on our water
lines until the peak dry season has passed , to see how much water
we will have in reserve.
Motion was passed to have the clerk put a notice in the paper
in regard, to letting the people in North Park know of- the proceed
ure to start their sewer district going.
The Engineer reported that the west meeker st.contract was com-
pleted and recommended that 85% of the contract be paid at this
time .
Letter from the Greenriver Valley Boys Club read in regard to
the poor condition the dump was kept in,and the filthy condition
the pool in the park was in,and very unfortunate that the stage
Depot could not be kept open on sundays and evennings ,the council
should pass an ordinance to prevent people from burnning stinking
garbage in cans back of stores.
Motion was passed for the Park Board to fill in the pool ,and make
it into a. rock garden,and in the meantime drain the pool of its
water to make it safe for small children at play.
Resolution # 269 read and adopted by the unanimous vote of the
council present ,
Resolution # 270 read and adopted by the unanimous vote of the
council present.
Motion was passed to pay Mons Rods expenses to the water conven-
tion at Oregon,the warrent to be drawn for $40.00 .
Motion was passed for the clerk to call for bids ,for, the sale
of Lots 6-7-8 Black 17 W.C.I.Cos lst Add.
Councilman Sells made a final report on the Zoning committee he
was on and turned over to each councilman a contemplated ordinance
that the attorney had drawn up for study.
Motion was passed for the attorney to draw up and ordinance
creating the duties of a planning commission.
