Regular meeting of the City Council present ,Mayor Dunbar, Councilmen,Edline Farman Morrill Sells Shoff Thompson 'North. CORRECTED-REFER TO MINUTES Minutes of Feb.4th. 46.read and approved ; OF 3-4-46 -ADDITION Report of Officers read and filed ,Clerks ,Treasurers and Budget. Councilman Worth announced that Mr. Lee and Mr. Blanchard of the P.S.P.&.L.CO were here to explain the new lighting contract - and the proposed new installation of fixtures ,and the contract was filed with the clerk and it being a part of the minutes. Motion was passed to accept contract ,and motion for the clerk to write a letter to the Power Co . , intructing them to proceed accord- ing to the contract as accepted by the Council. Motion was passed to let the painting contract to the lowest biddeit that was presented at the last regular rrieeting,and any additional work of patching in the building caused by the recent earth quake shall be estimated ,and submitted to the building committee for approval before work starts.The bid was awarded to Wallace E.Obert andW. F.Hazzard for $728.50. Motion was passed to have the building committee arrange with , a roofing eo to have the roof repaired,and see if the tying in 9 of the South wall will be neclssary to make it safe . Motion was passed for the engineer to give the people of North Park an estimate for sewers in that portion of the City,and also include that portion thet has not sewers East of the tracks ,and .North of Smith St. Councilman Edline reported on the progress the finance committee were making on the site for the disposal plant/. After the recommendation of the water committee ,a -motion was passed for the clerk to call for bids on 2000 ft .of 4" water pipe 4000 ft of 6" and 1000 ft. of 8" . Proposals and plans drawn by the engineer ,for the resurfacing of Meeker Ave .was recommended by motion to be submited to the State Hiway Dept . for approval and also being approved by the council. Motion was made and passed to have the clerk call for bids for the purchase of a tractor mower for the street dept. Clerk was intructed to write a letter tan the Park Board in regard to the cover or protection of some kind over the fish pond in the park. Clerk was instructed to sell a used 2 H.P. motor ,for the amount of $35.00 that the City had no longer use of.
