Regular meeting of the City Council present , Mayor Dunbar,
Councilmen,Edline,Farman,3ells ,Shoff,Thompson,77orth.
Minutes of Dec.17 ,45.read and approved ;
Repott of officers read and filed ,police report.
Motion was passed to call for bids to redecorate the inside of
the City Hall.
Motion was passed to have a fire hydrant placed on Guiberson
ave.and Maple Lane.
Motion was passed to have the City take care of the street
sweepings by placing it in suitable containers,and for the garbage
' collector to remove same to the dump.
Communication was read from the State Pollution commission in
regard to faulty septic tanks that drain into Mill Creek,and
advising the City of a great need for a sewage disposal plant ,
and how to obtain avaiibble monies from the State for such work.
Motion was passed to have the clerk advertise for bids ,to
install a 12" drain along the East Side of the Hiway in the 700
Block,across from the Kent Hatchery.
Ordinance # 760 was passed ^by the unanimous vote of the Council
present to change the First Fire District,to include the N.P.Ry.
rightsway,that runs through the buisness district.
The Mayor referred the changing of the second fire dist.to the
.. fire committee for study and report back at a latter meeting.
"', The contract with Forbes & Brett for engineering service ,for
the constructing of a sewage disposal plant ,was read,and a
motion was passed to insert in the blank places,Section F 10/b
and 25% in section G.Motion was passed by the unamious vote of
the council present to accept the contract as reed,and for the
Mayor and clerk to sign same .
Motion was passed to have the street committee work out some
street prodjects that were to improve some of the streets that
,are in badly need of repair.
Borlies & Brett recommended a site for the Sewage disposal plant
and the council recommended that they pick and slernate ,the Mayor
appointed the Sanitary and finance committees to investigate the
sites for purchase.
