Councilmen,Edline ,Morrill,Sells,Thompson,Worth.
Minutes of December 3 read and approved ;
Reports of Officers read and filed ,Clerks Treasurers and Budget.
The recommendation of the fire committee , is to place the
strips of land on each side of the N.P.Ry back into the First
Fire District ,and a motion was passed for the City Attorney to
draw an amendmant to the building code ordinance ,plecing the
strip of land back into the first fire district ,as the original
building code ordinance called for.
Engineer Brett was further instructed to get information for
the laying of `new tile in the ditch along the east side of the
highway in the 700 block south.
Councilman Thompson made mention of the nice job the fire
dept did in regard to the decorating of the tree in the park
with light strings for christmas holidays also suggested that
the city purchase a suitable amount of colored lights for
decorating. the streets for a future christmas , .Motion passed to
have the light committee get prices on such strings of lights
and report at a later meeting.
Ordinance # 759 passed the unanimous vote of the council
present,to vacate 8 certain alley in Sunneyside Add.. to Kent.
