Regular meeting of the City Council present,Mayor Dunbar ,
Councilmen,Morrill,Sells ,Shoff,Thompson,',Vorth.
Minutes of Nuv.19 ,45.read and approved;
Report of Officers read and filed,police report.
Councilman Worth reported on a meeting with the P.S.P.&L Co,in
regard to improving the street lights in the City,the power Co
contemplates on installing a new light,for the approval of abetter
lighting system for the residential districts.
Councilman Morrill recommended that new tile be placed along
the lost side of the Highway in the 700 block South.Metion was pass-
ed to have Engineer Brett to give details on the installation of
the tile for this drain.
Councilman Sells reported that he was gathering quite a bit of
material on the land zoning of the City,and would have a complett
report at a later meeting.
Rod reported that the extension of the water main at Summit Ave.
wAs completed,exoept the installation of the two firehydrents.He
also recommended that the street sweeper John Brown be furnished
with a new cart,that the one he has now is very much wore out.
Motion was passed for Rod to have the power of the purchase of
a suitable cart for the street cleenner.
Chief of Police brought to the attention of the Council, that
there should be an ordinance drawn in regard to trucks unload-
ing in the front of buisness places ,instead of using the alleys
where some are available.
Motion was passed to confirm the appointment of Eugene VonBergh
to the position of Night-Fireman,and janitor of the building.
City attorney was directed to check the ordinance ,on the
keeping of the public sidewalks free of brush and obstructions,
and send notices were neededtand also check laws in regard to the
control of our City Dump.
