Regular meeting of the City Council present, Mayor Dunbar,Council- mon,Edline ,Farman,Morrill ,Sells ,Shoff,Thompson,Worth. Minutes of November 5th. read and approved; Reports of officers read and filed,Clerks ,Tressurers ,and budget. Petition read from L.E.Brogden & wife ;and Thomas G.Waller & wife for the vacation of an . 1 ,; foot alley that runs north and south through their property. Petition read from 57 voters and property owners ,in regard to the N.P.Ry. Co moving a berry shed from its present location to the parksite on R.R.Ave, east of the N.P.Depot ,and also objecting to the strip of land along both sides of the N.P.tracks ,as being out of the first building district. The lease on the park on railroad Ave.was returned by the N.P.Ry Co they deeming it not neccesssry to use it for transportation purposes,as they had contemplated. Motion was passed to engage the Firm of Forbes and Brett as con- sulting Engineers for the sewage disposal plant that the council is contemplating on eonstruubtingprevious -to this motion a discussion was held in regard to the Firms of Warnecke & Wolff,and the General Engineering Co,and communications were read from both CompanYO; Resolution # 266 for the engaging of Forbes & Brett Consulting Engineers with James W.Carey & Associates as Advisory Consultants. , was adopted by the unanimous vote of the council to proceed with the sewage disposal plant. Resolution # 267 was adopted by the unamious vote of the council to vacate the alley petitioned by Mr. L.E.Brogden and wife,and Thomas Waller & wife -and the City Clerk to give notice of such hearing as provided by law. Motion was passed to have the Fire Committee and the Fire Chief to study strip of land on both sides of the N.P.traeks,and make a recommendation to the council in regard to placing it in the first fire district. Motion was passed to have the Vatbr appoint a committee t® lay out a plan for zoning the City in regard to land zones as to what kind of buildings and buisness to be placed therein. The Mayor appointed the building committee to act as this committee and work with citizens of the city that were interested in zoning. Motion was passed to have the old city limit signs removed as they had served their purpose years ago ,and were in deplorable oonditidn. Motion was passed to expedite the City Attorney to notify the owner of the bodies that ley in the lot at First Ave. So. and Titus St-to remove same at once.
