Regular Melting of the City Council ,present Mayor Dunbar,
Councilmen,Edline ,Ferman,Sells ,Thompson.
Minutes of August 20,read and approved ;
Reports of Officers read and filed , Police Report.
Twelve bids were received and opened and read,on the garbage
collection and disposal contract ,it was decided to have an ad-
journed meeting friday Sept. 7,at 810 clock P.M. to award the
bid to be accepted.
The engineer on the project at North Park explained to the
council that there were some culverts over looked on the bid and
that he recommended that this shoul be taken care of at this time
to make the job complete .Motion was passed to have a culvert
constructed at 3rd. and Cole ,and an ddditional 15 ft. at 3rd. and
Cloudy.
Letter was read from-the Northern Pacific Ry. Co in reply to
a letter written to them in regard to the uncompleted and rough
crossings - they left after the improvement of their rightewayothey
assured the council that they would be taken care of in do course
of time.
Motion was made and passed for the City Attorney to draw up an
emer.gdncy ootdinance to take care of the salary of and extra man
to operate the new truck that the City purchased to take care of
the streets in a better manner.
Patton' s petition was renewed to the council in regard to the
drainage on East Gowe St.that obstructed the walk with mud and w
water.It was placed in the hands of the street committee for act-
ion.
