Regular meeting of the City Council present , Mayor Dunbar

Minutes of April 2 ,1945 read and approved ;
Reports of Officers read and filed; Clerk's Treasurer' s Bugget,
Councilman Morrill reported on a request for the portion on the
east end of Guiberson Street to be graveled and graded ,the property
owners have never established a grade or improvements on this part
so 'until then it will rest with the property owners abutting same.
Letter was read from the Concrete Construction Co in regard to
the price of fixing the east part of R.R. Ave . just south of GoweSt.
The Clerk was instructed to write a letter to Mrs. Hamm in regard
to the Bouldron Sewer ,as to who owns the sewer,and who is supposed
to mai-ntain it.
The City Engineer made a report on the sewer disposal plant that
he drew the plans for in Auburn,end reported that it was a great
piioeeof work,and had no machinery to operate or wear out ,no
maintenance men to over see it -twenty four hours of the day and
night.
Motion was made and passed for the Enginneer to draw plans of
the improvements intended for the water Dept ,Sewer Dept.and Street
Depts. ,for post war prc*jects,all being seperate motions.
Mr. Fouriner made a talk on the proposed housing program,in-
tended for this City ,by the King County Housing Authority.
Mr. Campbell of this City proposed to the City Council that
the ordinance 9n six foot sidewalks ,were to wide and asked per-
mission to construct a four foot one ,and that being the only width
he would consider to build ,and furthermore it was not necessary to
have such a wide walk in the outskirts of the town. It was the
pleasure of- the Council to inform him that there could be no con-
cession made to him in this regard.
i Motin was made for the engineer to place a grade on various
streets where sidewalk construction was about to commence .
