Regular meeting of the City Council present Mayor Dunber,Councilmen, Miller,Sells,Shoff,Thompson. Minutes of October 2,read and approved; Reports of officers read and filed,Clerk' s ,Treasurers ,and budget re- port. Communid6tlon read and approved by motion and passed from the depart- ment of Public Service of Washington,plecing the speed limit of trains passing through the City of Kent,et the rate of forty miles per hour. Councilman Thompson reported on the removal of the dim out caps,in regard to the information he received from the State Defense council, the order still stands to have street lights capped ,but if they are re- moved they shall be at all times made available to be replaced if so ordered. Motion was made and passed by councilman Thompson to have the caps removed at this time, Councilman Sells reported on the progress the street committee has made in regard to the fixing of the City sidewalks. Motion was made and passed to allow the claim of- Mrs.Mee L.Buck, for damages caused bjt a fall on the sidewalk on north Central;for the amount of $600,00. Motion was made and passed by the unanimous vote of the council present,to adopt Resolution # 255 ,opposing Referendum # 25 ,known as the Super P.U.D. measure#and King Co.P.U.D.Dist # 1. Motion was made and passed to spread some much needed gravel on James Street',end patch some of the oiled streets with black top material to avoid grading them at this time.
