Regular meeting of the City Council ,present Mayor Dunbar,
Councilmen , Morrill,Miller,Sell6,Shoff,Thompson.
Minutes of April 17 ,read and approved;
Police and Health Report read and filed;
Communications read from the City of Auburn,in regard to Seattle
setting up a special court to take care of acoidents,and traffic
violations that occur in the various justice area in King . County
which would take the percent of the fines from the local govern-
ment.Motion was made and passed to have the clerk to write a letter
to the chief of the State Patrol objecting to such a proceedure.
Renewal of the Washington Frosted Food Co' s ordinance allowing
them to continue with the overhead connection on Shinn St,for an-
other ten years ,was laid over till next meeting to see if the
Washington Frosted Foods Co have proper securities approved by the
Council for any claim that may be produced against the City.
The City Attorney submitted and opinnion on the fixing of side-
walks,all sidewalks to be maintained and repaired by the property
owner*
A petition was submitted by,the property owners abutting on
Morton Street ,between South State Street and Burke Ave .to have
same vac*ted,It was referred to the Street committee for investigat
ion.
Motion was made and passed for Mr. Fallgreen City Engineer to have
the City Attorney draw up a deed and ordinance to have the proper
lines established on east Titus St.
Various committee reports were given but none completed.
