Special meeting of the City Council present Mayor Dunbar ,
Councilmen Farman,Miller,Sells$ThompsonsWorth.
Report was read from Mr. Mallis ,architect as to the remodelling
of the Saito place on east Smith,for a recreational Center,his
estimate including,equipment ,wiring,and moving partitions ,for the
amount of $2,850.00.
Mr. Edmundson chairman of the committee reported that the Saito
place would be sold if there was not some action taken at this time .
Councilman Miller brought to the attention of the Council,that in
the near future that the City would be forced to install a sewer
disposal plent,thet would cost in the neighborhood of $100 ,000 .00 ,
and the people at this time should know this condition that existed.
Several citizens expressed thtir views,in regard to the Center,
and its advantages to the community.
Councilmen Farman made a motion and passed,to place it before the
people for a vote by special election,to raise the money required.
