Regular meeting of the City Council present,Mayor Dunbar,
Councilmen Farman,Miller,Morrill,Sells,Shoff,Thompson,Worth.
Minutes of March 20th. read and approved :
Police report read and filed:
Report of the Community Recreation committee presented to the
council,read and placed in the hands of the building committee to
gather further information in regard to cost of remoddling the
building that is on the site suggested,thet being the Saito place
on east Smith Street.It is suggested by the committee to buy and
remodel to the extent of $15,370.50 ,that to enclude one year up-
keep,and salary for a supervisor.It is the belief of the committee
that the recreational program should be surported by taxation,
to call for a special election to vote a 13 mill levy for the
first year,and a 5 mill levy for each successive year for upkeep
and selarie&. The Mayor called a special meeting of the City
Council,for Tuesday,April,ll,at 8 O 'clock P?M? to meet with the
Recreation committee.
Received a letter from a Mr. Curry in regard to placing a
taxis service in the City,placed in the hands of the Police
committee for investigation.
Councilman Morrill reported on the ally in back of the Ramstead
dwelling on east Titus,in regard to blocking same.
Councilman Farman reported on the parking lot north of Meeker
St. along the west side of the N.P.Ry.Co.The Clerk was instructed
to write a letter th the company in regard to obtaining permission
to use it for parking.
