Kent Washington March,6,1944.
Regular meeting of the City Council present,Mayor Dunbar,
Councilmen,Farman,Miller,Morrill,Sells,Shoff,Thompson.
Minutes of Febuary 21,reed and approved.
Police and Health report read and filed.
Communications from the N.P.Ry Co ,in regard to moving the
wig-Wag signals from the center of the street to the side,and
from Parker & Hill Engineers as to their ability to handle
j water and sewer Districts,in regard to extensions and improve-
ments.
Councilman Thompson reported on the comfort station,for the
public ,suggested that the bandstand in the park might be con-
verted in to a suitable plaee ,for the purpose .
Council Morrill reported that the drainage situation on State
Street was taken care of,and made a motion and passed,that a
letter be written to the N.P.Ry.Co.asking them to move the center
crossing signals at a time that they could replace them with the
later type signels,that are being used other places.
Farman
Councilman reported on the fines being imposed on people,for
traffic violations,and if needed to change the City Ordinance
to meet the present day requirements.
Councilman Thompson made a motion and carried,to allow the
Washington Frosted Foods,to build their office on the north
end of their present building,which protrudes over the property
line a few feet,so that it leaves 40 ft.for street purposes
across Shinn St.
The Chairman of the building committee was ordered to pro-
ceed with the work in the jaii,that was ordered some time ago.
