Kent Washington March,20 ,1944.
Regular meeting of the City Council present,Mayor Dunbar
Councilmen,Farman,Morrill,Sells,Shoff,Thompson;
Minutes of March 6th. read and approved;
Clerk's ,Treasurer and Budget reports read and filed.
Communication read from the Northern Pacific Railway Co,st sting
that t4ey had the warrent ready for the strip of land that the City
agreed to sell for righteway,out at the water headworks ,-.ss soon
as the City would pass a resolution and sign the deed.
Letter from the Association of Washington Cities ,stating there
would be a convention held at Chehalis ,May 22-23, .
The Mayor suggested that the water committee ,and the street
Committee work out, some post-war projects.
Councilman Thompson read a letter he received from the N.P.Ry.Co
in regard to the comfort station on the east side of the tracks.
Refered to the committee for further investigation.
Request of Mr.F.J.Fulton of R.R.Ave.So,to install a electric
fence around three acres ,wes referred to the City Atorney.
Mr. Rod advised the Council that they shoud be on the lookout
for a place to store a few car loads of pipe ,to be used in the post-
war projects9for the improvment of the water system.
Resolution # 248,edopted to accept Quit Claim Deed to widen
Kennebeck Ave.on the East side ,from the south line of Smith St-to
the North line of Meeker Street.

Resolution # 249,8dopted,to sell two strips of land at the water
-headwerka,along there present righteway,"Northern Pacific RailwayCo.TM
for the some of $155.00 , .and the Mayor and clerk was instructed tto
sign the deed for same.
