Regular meeting of the City Council ; present Councilmen Dun- bar , Morrill , Neden, Sells , and Shoff; Tviayor Protem Dunbar in the chair. Minutes of the meeting of April 19 , last , read and approved. Police Dept. report for April presented and filed. Ordinance No. 731, licensing and rogu Ljting admission tax , was read and upon motion placed upon its final passage and car- ried by the unanimous vote of all of the Councilmen present. Emergency ordinance T`-io. 732 , providing for the increse ofthe salaries of the Police Department , was read and laid over to May 17 , next , for hearing. Matter of bulkhead built in the street , by T,z. Irwin, on E. Titus street , vaithout permission, refered to the St. Committee . Upou motion T.;ons ;god w>i s given permission to attend the 77rater Works Convention at Bellingham, with expenses. E,atter of the Stark wrecking place at First & Titus refered to the Police & Fire Committee , with the Inspector & Fire Chief. Blocking of alley betwen Titus St. 'X. 2nd Scenic '5ay , refered� to Street Committee for investik- atiLn.
