Kent, washin`ton, August 17, 1942.
Regular meeting of the City Council; present Mayor Wooden and
Councilmen Barnes, Dunbar,Naden, Sells and Thompson.
Minutes of August 3, last, read and approved.
Clerks report, Trees. report and Budget report for July pres-
ented and filed.
Recomendation of the Light Company that about 6 light pole
fixtures be purchased, to replace broken poles and fixtures,
was adopted and the fixtures ordered.
Building Committee was empowered to do some repareing on roof
windows & ect., before bad weather comes.
It was decided that all of the crew that have worked for the
one year or more should have a weeks vacation, with pay.
Upon motion the Street Committee was directed to have several
cross -walks repared or renewed.
