Kent, Washington, April 20, 1942
Regular meeting of the City Council; present Mayor Wooden
and Councilmen Barnes, Morrill, Naden, Sells, Shoff & Thompson.
Minutes of the meeting of April 6th. last, read and approved.
Clerks report, Treasurers report and the Budget Report for
march presented and filed.
Matter of striping the streets by the County refered to the
Street Committee, power to act.
Matter of an office for the Tire Rationing Board was refered
to the Bldg. Committee, with power to act.
Upon motion the Bldg. Committee was authorized to call for
bids for fuel oil.
Invitation to attend the meeting of Washington Cities, May
7 & 8, in Seattle, was accepted.
The Council went on record as requesting the Park Board to
keep the flag flying every day in the park, weather permiting.
Matter of parking at the M.E.Church refered to the Police
& Police Committee, with power to act.
_The Mayor & Clerk were -directed to sign deed, to Mrs. Franke,
for lot 1 ; block 7, W. C. I. Co. First Add. to Dent.
Clerk directed to notify owner of lot 26, block 5, N. P.
Addition to Dent, to repare sidewalk.
