Kent, Washington, December 8, 1041.
Special meeting of the City Council , called for the purpose
Of confirming the apointments of heads of Defence Committies,
made at the meeting held last evening. Present Mayor Wooden &
Councilmen Barnes , Dunbar, Morrill , Naden, Sells , Shoff and
Thompson.
Upon motion duly made and seconded the apointments were con-
firmed as follows: R. A. Thompson, Chairman and Bert Strickland
Vice-Chairman; F. M. Imhoff, Police and Civilian Protection;
Chas. Bridges , Fire ; Mons Rod , Water; Harry Hill, Electric Power;
Ralph Smith, Cotmnunications ; Dr. C. M. Ioiller, Committee Member;
Frank Bouldron, Supply; Strains Transfer Co. , Supply; Lamar Stra n
Transportation; Bob Shaffer, Evacuation; Dr. Morgan, P� edical;
0 . L. Kruse , ffrecker Service ; Glen Chittenden, Ambulance;Don Cre
and John Fournier, Information; Irving Clark , Engineer and Al
Reiten, Secretary.
An Ordinance creating and setting up machenary a Defence
Council was read , considered and discus0ed at some length and
approved for passage at the next regular meeting.
No further business appearing the meeting upon motion did
then adjurn.
