Kent , Washington, Nay 5 , 1941.
Regular meeting of the City Council ; present Mayor Wooden and
Councilmen Barnes , Dunbar , Morrill , Sealls , Shoff & Thompson.
Police and Health Officers report for the month of April was
read and placed on file .
Minutes of the meeting of April 21st. ,last , read and approved.
Ion motion the Fire Dept. was given permission to spend $13.0or14.00 for a hose dryer.
A comunication mwmowwm&& from the Chief of Police , asking for
$30.00 to attend the Police Convention at "Walla Walla , was read
and upon motion the same was granted and also $15.00 was granted
to Lions Rod and one man to attend the Convention in Seattle.
RESOLUTION NO.233 , setting up projects for street improvement ,
during the next biennium, was read and adopted by unanimous vote
t of all of the Councilmen present.
.. Upon motion it was decided that the City would pay 25VO of
the cost of oiling streets the same as last year.
The City Atty. was instructed to write the Milwaukee R. R. Co.
in reguard to removal of islands at the Meeker street crossing,
and the repair of the crossing.
