Minutes of meeting of March 17 , last , read and approved. Police report for March presented and filed. Building Committee recomended the purchase of 4 Doz. chairs for the auditorium; matter refered back to the Committee with power to act. Mayor reported on the recent meeting of the National Defence Committee in Tacoma. Upon motion the Attorney and Clerk were directed to bill the Bonneville Damm Authority for damage done to water line and ask them to please notify us in the future when work is being done ,M over our pipe line. Drainage Committee recomended that levels be run from Smith to McMillin streets to find out if sewage could be run to the Main Trunk on Smith street, recomendation adopted. Upon motion cash prizes of $1.00 , $2.00 , .$3.00 & $5.00 were offered by the city to the Grade School, Jr. Hi . School and the Sr. Hi School for the best display card , or poster , on city-wide clean up, for the month of April an0l the Mayor apointed Council- men Thompson, Dunbar and Sells a Committee to judge and award the prizes.
