Regular meeting of the City Council; present Mayor ��Fooden &
Councilmen Barnes , Dunbar , Morrill , Naden, Sells , Shoff & Thomp on
Minutes of the meeting of July 1 , last , read and approved.
Clerks report , Treasurer' s report and Budget Report for Mo.
of June , presented and filed.
Bids opened for fuel oil for the year and contract awarded to
Sipes Transfer for 6j cts. per Gal . of diesel oil.
An ordinance establishing a Civel Service Commission was pres
ented for consideration and refered to the Police Committee for
investigation and report at the next meeting.
Attorney directed to present ordinance changing the Min. of
water and also an ordinance similar to the Enumclaw ordinance
on licenses of pinball machines.
Mr. N. T. Barnes requested a4 new water main on Third Street
and the rater was refered to the Water Committee for investigat on.
Upon motion the Street Committee was directed to publish egg
call for bids for a culvert on Smith Street and Kennebeck Ave.
