Kent , Washington, May 6 , 1940.
Regular meeting of the City Council; present Mayor Wooden
and Councilmen Barnes , Dunbar , Naden, Sells , Shoff & Thompson.
It being the first meeting in the new Council Chambers , the
meeting was opened by a short ceremony and programme ; the Amer-
ican Legion presenting a flag to the Council & City; the Boy
Scouts leading salute and pledge of alegience to the flag ,
followed by speeAis`�I �Exmayors , Excouncilmen and others and
music by the Christian Church Mens Couras.
Minutes of meeting of April 15 , last , read and approved.
Reports from the Chief of Police , Fire Chief and Health Offi- I
cer presented and filed.
