Regular meeting of the City Coucnil; present Mayor Wooden &
Councilmen Dunbar , Neden, Sells , and Shoff.
Minutes of the last regular meeting , Sept. 18, last , read
and approved .
Comunication from Canery Workers Union read and refered to th
City Attorney.
Ordinance No. 699 , adopting the budget for the year 1940 , was
read and upon motion placed upon its final passage and carried
by the unanimous vote of all of the Councilmen present.
Ordinance No. 700 , fixing the tax levy for the year 1940 , was
readand upon motion placed upon its final passage and carried by
the unanimous vote of all of the Councilmen present.
A bid from The Ramsteed Elect. Co. , for rewiring the City Hal
was opened and read , for $ 306 . 98, and refered back to the Hall !
Committee with instructions that only $200 .00 was availableand
that the bal. of $106.98 would have to wait for six or seven Mo.
Upon motion the Engineer was instructed to procure andextre
mixer for use on the new reservoir.
The Janitor was instructed to procure 4 flags for the City
Hall.
A delegation from the E. Hill was present and requested the
asistance of the City in getting James Street extended east from
the City Limits along the County road.
