Kent, Washington, November 21, 1938
Regular meeting of the City Council ; present Mayor Wooden
and Councilmen Barnes , Miller , Naden, Sells , Shoff & Thompson.
Minutes of the meeting of November 7 , last, read & approved.
Clerks report , Treasurer' report and the Budget report for,
October , presented and filed .
Building Committee reported the letting of the contract for
fuel oil to the City Transfer Co . for 621 cts. per gallon.
Matter of a street light at the corner of VenDeVanter St. &
Guiberson St. refered to the Light Committee , power to Act.
Resolution No. 119 , requesting State Permit for the Fire
Chief Car and the Trafio Officer Motorcycle be permitted to have
red lights and siren, read and adopted by unanimous vote.
Engineer reported progress on new reservoir plans & estimate, ,
and upon motion he was authorized to have the level and transet
fixed 'op to date and get such extra supplies as necessary at a
cost to the City of Approx. $87.16.
Mayor apointed Councilman Shoff a member of the Committee to
meet with the County Playfield Assn.
