HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Meeting - Council - Minutes - 08/01/1938 186 Kent, Washington, August 1. 1938 Regular meeting of the City Council; present Mayor Wooden and Councilmen Barnes , Miller, Naden, Sells & Thompson. Minutes of the last regular meeting , July 18, last , was read and approved. Police Committee reported progress on the matter of licens- ing of taxies and the Sewer Committee reported progress on the lateral sewer in block 17 , W.C.I.Co 's First Addition. Comunications read from Mrs. Lief Olesen and from Mr. Geo. Miller, protesting the poor water service, and filed. Mr. Clarence Shoff was elected to the vacancy on the Coun- cil made by the death of Councilmen Hardy. Engineer was directed to proceed t6th the getting uo of a WPA prodect for the new reservoir, on the site just purchased. The Clerk was directed to request the County Commissioners to have our streets tared and patched , as they have done here- to-fore and bill the City for the cost.
