Kent, Washington, July 18, 1938.
Regular meeting of the City Council; present Mayor Wooden
and Councilmen Barnes , Dunbar, Miller, Naden and Sells; Coun-
cilman Thompson Coming in later.
Minutes of the previous meeting, July 5th. last , read and
approved.
Clerks report , Treasurer's report and the Budget report
presented and filed.
Bids opened from Crow & Miller , for the labor on lateral
sewer in block 17 , W.C.I.Co's First to Kent, and refered to the
Sewer Committee and the City Engineer , Power to Act.
A comunication was read from Mr. T. J. 'Taller on the sub-
ject of bonding Taxies, No action taken.

Upon mption the Mayor and Clerk were directed to sign deed,
to lot 17, block 7 , 1. C. I . Cot First to Kent.

Trafic signs. were ordered purchased as recomended by the
Dept. of Highways and the Police Committee were authorized
to purchase a paint striping mach.
Matter of water for the cemetery was refered to the Police
Committee to prepare an agreement and contract.
.Upon motion the City Atty. and the Police Committee were
directed to investigate the licensing of Taxies.
