Regular meeting of the City Council; present Mayor Wooden
and Councilmen Barnes , Dunbar , Miller , Naden,Sells & .

Minutes of the meeting of March 21 , last , read and approve
Comunication' read from the Department of Highways , reguar -
ing Safety Zones and from the U.S. Treasury Dept. requesting
the establishment of grades for streets and walks; the City
Atty. was requested to present resolution, in complyance with
request for st. grades.
Ordinance No. 689 , granting Franchise for overhead cross-
ing on Sixth Avenue , to The Washington Frosted Foods Co. , was
read and upon motion placed upon its final passage and carried
by the unanimous vote of all of the Councilmen present.
A petition for a regularation walk on No. side of T. Gowe
St.was refered to the Street Committee and the Engineer.
A petition, requesting that an ordinance be passed , prohi -
iting pickiting and signed by 81 business men, was read and
upon motion the Attorney was directed to prepar and present
such. and ordinance at the next meeting of the Council.
Matter of water on So. First St. refered to 9 Com.
with power to act .
