Kent, Washington, September 20, 1937.
Regular meeting of the City Council; present Mayor Wooden 1
and Councilmen Barnes , Dunbar, Hardy, Miller, Naden, Sells and
Thompson.
Minutes of the last regular meeting, September 7, reand and
approved.
Clerks report , Treasurer' s report and the Budget report for
August , presented and filed.
Letters addressed to the Mayor from Wash. State Patrol and
from Mrs. Ira Stanley, were read and filed.
Upon motion the Mayor and Clerk were authorized to sign
deed to the property just west of the Meadoweroft store on the
So. side of Meeker , to the Garrison Estate for $10.00.
Ordinance No. 680 , regulating the use and price of water ,
was read and upon motion placed upon its final passage and
carried by the unanimous vote of all -of the Councilmen present .
Upon recomendation ,of the Finance Committee , the purchase
of thirty ( 30) bonds in district no 199 , for the sum of $760.00
was authorized, as an investment for the B. I .& R.Fund.
Upon recomendation of the Water Committee , the Foremen of
the City Crew was given a raise in Sal. of - $10:00 per Mo.
Request of the 'Fire Dept. for permission to purchase 400 ft. i
of 2J" Fire Hose was granted and the Fire Committee was author-
ited and given permission to have installed a shower for the
Fire Dept.
